A Pole Barn Year in Review - Image

Cold weather is officially here, the season of bonfires, corn mazes, flannels, and pumpkin spice. For Milmar, its still pole barn season as we work to catch up with busy building schedules and get as much done before the Winter really sets in!

The change in weather brings cooler days where our crews can put in a full day’s work without overheating.  As the weather gets cooler, let’s take a look what was built earlier this year!

First, we finished the Garden House Barn. It is a farmhouse style barn with white steel trim, covered porch, overhead door, and topped with a lovely cupola. Gooseneck lamps complete the look. If you are ever in Kalamazoo, MI, check out the Garden House Vintage Market to see this barn and check out their unique treasures.

The Hunting Cabin was a full house build. A custom two-story post frame building with prairie style windows. The client picked white with black trim and it looks great!

The Lake Barn- Built right on a lake, this barn is the right size for storing boats and other recreational vehicles. The dark charcoal and black steel is a striking combo. A cupola and custom weather vane completes this pole barn.

The Gull Lake Build – Pole barns can also be a commercial building like this two story shop/garage. The client decided to use traditional shingles rather than steel and it looks sharp.

The Schoolcraft Barn- The 24×48 size is perfect for storing any larger machines or tools that wouldn’t typically fit in garage. Custom transom windows give it a unique look and the porch adds some character.  Great for parking a trailer indoors!

The Backyard Barn – Simple, with a nice sized inset porch, this would be a perfect addition for many back yards!

The Old Barn/New Barn- The owner wanted a pole barn for a detached garage/small shop set right in front of his old wooden barn.  30x40x12 was a perfect size for what he needed. This turned out to be a beautiful red two door garage.

South Haven Barn- 40×40 pole barn that has large doors and is fully insulated for winter shop work. Colton with the photo bomb!

Mill Creek Barn- This will be a shop with living space. The design is simple but practical.

The Classic Red Barn – High pitch shingle roof and custom doors make this one an instant winner.  3 car bays and a shop bay make this a very functional barn!

Our crews put in a lot of work this year for sure, and this is only some of the barns we built!  Lots more going on right now!

Each barn was custom designed and planned to fit the client’s needs. We work through each step with you to help make sure you get what you want and need.

With Milmar, you have many project options. We look forward to helping you out with your next building!
