Larry H. filled out a contact form on our website in early June. He had gotten several quotes, and wanted to get one more before committing to his project.
He wanted a 48 x 72 building with a storage loft for his private use as his home. We bid out the job, and were higher than his other quotes. However, after closely comparing our bid to the other two he was considering, he discovered that our competitors were not pricing certain key structural items that were important to him.
The other quotes were for 4’ on center trusses, and we had priced his attic loft at 2’ on center. He wanted overhangs, and the other quotes were with flush eaves, and the other quotes did not include the garage doors.
Once we added in all the features, our price was still just a bit higher than the competition. However, his comfort factor with our company was much higher because we had included these important features as standard. So he decided to sign with us anyway.
His final building was 48 x 72 x 12 with attic trusses, stone wainscot, and a concrete floor for $68,200. We began construction in the end of August. Total build time was five weeks.
